Winterhalter offers Pay Per Wash scheme on its PT hood type machines

Warewasher manufacturer Winterhalter has extended its finance system, Pay Per Wash (PPW), to its PT pass-through machines.

The scheme allows operators to have a Winterhalter dishwasher or glasswasher with no upfront cost. The scheme covers the machine, service, racks and cleaning chemicals.

Paul Crowley, marketing manager of Winterhalter UK, explained: "Both independent and group operators are considering Pay Per Wash as an alternative to buying warewashers outright. It delivers the quality they expect from a Winterhalter machine, without having the capital outlay and reduces their financial exposure. After two or three years they can decide whether to purchase their Winterhalter machine or continue with the PPW system."

The cost of a PT warewasher under the PPW scheme will depend on the size and version of the machine, and its anticipated usage. With a PT-L (large), the typical cost in a busy restaurant doing 30 washes a day would be 39p per wash cycle - inclusive of the machine, racks, servicing and chemicals.

"Some people have said that the Pay Per Wash scheme sounds too good to be true," commented Crowley. "But Winterhalter has been working closely with customers for many years and we have strong historical data, so we can be very accurate about pricing. Certainly the costs are competitive, but they make economic sense both for our customers and for us."
