Gold-coloured gastronorm container from Catering Equipment

The humble stainless-steel gastronorm container has undergone a radical makeover that will allow it to migrate from back to front of house.
Until now, it has not been possible to source stainless steel in any colour other than the traditional. However, Birmingham's Catering Equipment has developed a secret process for treating 304 stainless steel that actually changes the top surface of the metal to a gold colour.
An added benefit is that it is three times harder than traditional chrome plating.
