3663 voted best wholesaler by caterers
Foodservice distributor 3663](http://www.3663.co.uk) was voted the Best Delivered Wholesaler by 1,000 independent caterers at the him! Wholesale Awards.
The group, which serves some 60,000 customers, won the accolade for its high availability of products, ease of ordering, superior customer service, accurate and timely deliveries and overall value for money.
[Federation of Wholesale Distributor's](http://www.fwd.co.uk/) Annual Conference - described the win as "fantastic encouragement" following the group's recent revamp its own-brand products that was informed by advice and feedback from customers and suppliers.
The awards, based on responses from more than 6,000 retail and catering customers, also saw [Booker - ](http://www.booker.co.uk/home.aspx)scoop the Best Cash and Carry Award in the catering sector while [Cadbur](http://www.cadbury.co.uk)y and [Coca-Cola - were">http://www.cokecce.co.uk)were named by depot managers as the best suppliers.
â- 3663 is also celebrating the extension of its supply contract with restaurant chain TGI Friday's, which it has serviced since February 2008.
The new five-year deal - worth more than £30m per year - covers food, non-food, wines, beers and spirits.
The partnership also incorporates sustainability issues as 3663 recycles TGI Friday's waste cooking oil into bio-diesel for its fleet. The initiative has allowed TGI Friday's to save more than 160 tonnes of carbon dioxide in the five months to the end of May 2011.
"Over the last three years, the service levels provided by 3663 have always been well above 99% - and that is why we chose to move all our food and drink needs to them," commented Alyson Scott, head of supply chain at the restaurant group.
