Three-Michelin-starred chef David Muñoz to open London restaurant

Three-Michelin-starred Spanish chef David Muñoz is to open a new restaurant in London's Mayfair.

The restaurant at 15 Old Burlington Street, named StreetXo, will be Muñoz's first outside of his home country, where he runs three-Michelin-starred DiverXo, and StreetXo, both in Madrid.

Muñoz trained in several London restaurants before returning to Madrid, and the new London venture aims to be a "unique representation of street food", inspired by his travels from London to South East Asia and everywhere in between.

StreetXo, which is set to open in June 2014, will be open for service for 14 hours each day.

The focal point of the restaurant will be a central open kitchen, as well as a large bar with an inventive cocktail selection.

The menu is expected to change often and will feature 12-14 dishes, but there will also be a trolley circulating throughout the room, serving one-off creations.
