Rotunda restaurant opens waterside Secret Garden for summer
Rotunda Bar & Restaurant in London's King's Cross has launched its waterside Secret Garden, a hospitality space on the terrace.
Designed in collaboration with Global Generation, the team behind the King's Cross skip garden project, the Secret Garden features a scented floral archway, sofas and tables set amongst planters of flowers and vegetables, as well as baskets filled with herbs used by the restaurant's chefs.
Menu options include a summer a la carte, ‘seedling' platters and barbecue dishes using beef and lamb sourced from the restaurant's own farm in Northumberland.
The mix of dining and lounge seating on the terrace will accommodate up to 150 and the Secret Garden is expected to run until late autumn.
The Rotunda Bar & Restaurant is owned by Green & Fortune and was opened within the Kings Place development in 2008 by John Nugent, the former chief executive of caterer Searcys.
