New executive chef at Bar Boulud

Thomas Piat has been promoted to executive chef at Bar Boulud at the Mandarin Oriental Hyde Park London.

Piat, who replaces Dean Yasharian, said he was grateful to Boulud to give him the opportunity to steer the ship in the Bar Boulud kitchen. "I look forward to continue working with the skilled and highly motivated team in London to continue on our journey of success," he added.

Bar Boulud, which is sister restaurant to the original restaurant in New York, specialises in house-made terrines and pÁ¢tés served from a charcuterie counter, as well as signature sausages and burgers. It is located on the ground floor of the five-red-AA-star, 198-bedroom Mandarin Oriental hotel, which also houses Dinner by Heston Blumenthal.
