Chef Tom Sellers to launch pop-up during refurbishment of Restaurant Story

Michelin-starred chef Tom Sellers has announced plans to launch a pop-up while Restaurant Story in Bermondsey, South London closes for refurbishment.

From 4 April to 22 April the pop-up, named Merry Men, will offer an "immersive dining experience". Named after the band of outlaws that followed Robin Hood the pop-up will pay tribute to Sellers' Nottingham upbringing and offer a banquet-style menu of "seasonal, refined and artfully conceived dishes".

The menu, including bone marrow, eel and parsley; smoked haddock in milk; braised and hot smoked lamb leg, anchovies and capers; beef cheeks in hay; and lardy cake with salted blackberries and cultured ice-cream, will be accompanied by drinks selected by Story's head sommelier.

Every Wednesday the pop-up will host a guest chef, with Jason Atherton set to cook alongside Sellers on 18 April.

The project will donate a portion of each ticket sold to Hospitality Action, with a larger portion being donated on guest chef evenings.

The 60-seat venue will be located at 32 Southwark Street, London, and will be open for dinner Wednesday-Saturday and lunch on Saturday and Sunday. A bar accommodating up to 40 guests will serve a woodland-themed cocktail menu alongside a smaller snack menu called Pig Tales.

Tickets must be pre-booked and are priced at £60.27 for four courses including a drink. Bookings will be available from 19 February 2018 via www.eventbrite.co.uk/e/merry-men-tickets-42908001989.

Restaurant Story will close from 31 March.
