Celebrity chef Gordon Ramsay to open two restaurants in Las Vegas

Celebrity chef Gordon Ramsay is opening two new restaurants in Las Vegas this week, a gastro pub at Caesars Palace and a burger restaurant at the Planet Hollywood Resort and Casino.

Gordon Ramsay Pub & Grill, which opens tomorrow (18 December), and burger restaurant, BurGR, opening on Saturday (22 December), take Ramsay's portfolio of restaurants in Las Vegas to three, following the opening of Gordon Ramsay Steak at Paris Las Vegas in May. All three restaurants are operated under a consultancy agreement with Caesars Entertainment Corp.

Ramsay also recently opened the Fat Cow casual dining concept in Los Angeles.

Commenting on the Las Vegas openings Ramsay said: "It's been incredible the positive reception Gordon Ramsay Steak has received since opening at Paris in May. We've been developing these different concepts for quite a while to deliver three distinct, unique dining experiences with the variety, originality, and high quality that we believe people want and appreciate."

Gordon Ramsay Pub & Grill will comprise a 290-seat gastro pub housed within Caesars Palace next to the casino area. Serving a menu of British classics next to dishes from the grill, the kitchen will be headed up executive chef Jeremy Berlin, who previously worked with Ramsay at the London West Hollywood in Los Angeles as well as Gordon Ramsay at the London in New York.

Typical dishes will include English ale onion soup, shepherd's pie, a selection of sausages, and fish and chips, as well as whole brick Cornish chicken and dry-aged rib eye and spotted dog. The pub will also serve 36 beers on tap.

Meanwhile Ramsay's burger restaurant, BurGR at Planet Hollywood, will seat up to 200 diners, offering a menu of burgers, fries and shakes, with special dishes such as pork belly bao buns, sweet potato fries with vanilla powdered sugar and pudding shakes.

"BurGR will cater to both guests who are fans of Gordon Ramsay and who are in search of a perfect burger and shake," said Planet Hollywood Resort & Casino president David Hoenemeyer.

Ramsay now operates restaurants in three US destinations, including New York, Las Vegas and Los Angeles. He had his consultancy for Laurier Gordon Ramsay in Montreal, Canada, terminated at the beginning of this year.
