Opening of Matthew Kenney's Selfridges restaurant Adesse delayed to next year

The opening of Matthew Kenney's Selfridges restaurant Adesse has been delayed until January 2022 due to "unforeseen circumstances".

An exact opening date is to be confirmed and no further details were available at the time as to why the opening was delayed by a month, having previously been expected to open at the second floor of the London department store on 2 December.

American chef Kenney announced the opening of the plant-based concept last month with a menu including jackfruit 'crab cake' with smoked red pepper rémoulade, and beetroot carpaccio with yuzu kosho and poppy seed.

The launch of Adesse will be part of Project Earth, Selfridges' sustainability initiative and commitment to offering more meat-free options across its restaurants and food halls.
