Tom Parker Bowles to be guest speaker at Master Innholders' GM conference dinner
Food writer and critic Tom Parker Bowles is to be the guest speaker at the gala dinner during the Master Innholders' 22nd Annual Hotel General Managers' Conference, in January.
He will speak during the two day event, which takes place on 19 and 20 January at the London Hilton Park Lane. The new Hotelier of the Year, who will be announced tomorrow, will also be introduced at the dinner by Mark Lewis, publisher of The Caterer.
This year's conference will explore what motivates customers in a globalised marketplace. Titled People & Place, the event will also explore the increasing impact of technology and the best methods of motivating staff.
Speakers will include Arthur de Haast, chairman, hotels and hospitality group at Jones Lang LaSalle; Mario Jobbe, chief operating office, Circos Brand Karma; Rebecca Stephens, founder of Seven Summits Performance; and Gavin Esler, chancellor of University of Kent.
Other familiar hospitality industry stalwarts taking part will be Sir David Michels; Ian Millar of Ecole hôtelière de Lausanne; Julia Sibley, chief executive Savoy Education Trust; and Ufi Ibrahim, chief executive, British Hospitality Association.
Jonathan Ragget, chairman of the Master Innholders, said: "The sessions are relevant to managers at all levels across the spectrum of the industry and the conference remains the only one of its type, inspired and delivered by general managers for general managers."
The full delegate conference package, including the conference, lunch on both days, a Champagne reception and black tie dinner, costs £420 per person. The cost of a day-only session at £175 per day is the same price being charged for the Champagne reception and black tie dinner.
Early bookers can secure one free place, on the full delegate conference package, with every four booked at the same time, for booking made before 30 November.
