Ritz hotel manager Jeremy Downer dead
Jeremy Downer, executive assistant manager of the Ritz hotel in London, died yesterday morning (Tuesday, 5 September) at the age of 43.
He suffered a massive heart attack while at home. He is survived by his wife Tessa and two children.
Stephen Boxall, general manager at the Ritz, said: "At this very sad and difficult time our thoughts are with Tessa, his wife and their young family. Not only have we lost a truly exceptional deputy but a very dear friend."
Downer had been at the Ritz for nearly three and a half years and had previously held positions at the Royal Automobile Club in Pall Mall, The Savoy and Hanbury Manor in Hertfordshire.
The funeral will be held on Wednesday 13 September.
