Richardson hotel group buys Royal Beacon in Exmouth

The Richardson hotel group has acquired the Royal Beacon hotel in Exmouth.

The five-strong group, which includes the infamous Grosvenor hotel in Torquay that once featured on Channel 4 series The Hotel, will complete the takeover at the end of January.

Located on a cliff top close to the centre of Exmouth, the 200-year-old 52-bedroom hotel had been originally put on the market by receiver Opus Restructuring for an undisclosed sum.

The Grade II-listed property has a restaurant and bar, as well as banqueting and wedding facilities.
