Les Rennie confirmed as Lords head chef
Les Rennie has been confirmed as head chef at Lords of the Manor following the departure of Toby Hill in April.
Rennie was appointed this week after standing in as head chef at the Gloucestershire hotel's 60-seat restaurant since May. Iain Shelton, a director of Lords of the Manor, said he was delighted and hoped that Rennie would win the accolades that people linked with the hotel.
The hotel's restaurant lost its Michelin star earlier this year and it is expected that winning back the award will be a priority.
Shelton said: "If people associate us with a Michelin star, then so be it. We have been a fine-dining hotel for the last 10 years and we want to be producing food that is associated with top dining awards."
Rennie, 34, won a Michelin star at Ynyshir Hall, Powys, and worked as a sous chef to Gary Jones in Waldo's restaurant at Cliveden in Berkshire. Shelton said he expected the food at Lords of the Manor to reflect Rennie's background.
