Hotel du Vin Tunbridge Wells appoints general manager

James McComas has been promoted to general manager of Hotel du Vin Tunbridge Wells.

Having been with the Malmaison Hotel du Vin Group since 2013, McComas moves from Malmaison Birmingham.

Considered a rising star in the business, McComas was one of 30 employees selected for a management programme last year, where promising general managers are trained for the job.

During his ‘Rising Star' training he was also awarded the Master Innholder Scholarship for Cranfield University's Talent Development Programme.

McComas added: "I'm very excited to be joining the team at Tunbridge Wells. I've been given some great opportunities to develop my skillset at Malmaison Hotel du Vin, for which I'm hugely grateful, and I'm looking forward to building on that as I progress in my career in my first GM role, which has been my number one goal over the last few years."
