High-end restaurant and bar to open in London's Trocadero

London's Trocadero is to see the launch of a new high end restaurant and bar following the signing of an overseas operator.

Landlord Criterion Capital has signed a deal with KPIP UK to open its first UK outlet at the Piccadilly entertainment venue. The company also runs the five-storey Karlovy Lazne nightclub in Prague, which is the largest club in central Europe.

KPIP UK will pay in the region of £750,000 a year for the 11,000sq ft basement venue within the Trocadero, which is one of the capital's biggest entertainment venues.

Property agent Davis Coffer Lyons brokered the deal.

Meanwhile French hotel group Accor is turning part of the Trocadero into a 500-bedroom pod hotel, which will open in time for the 2012 London Olympic Games.
