Envergure goes large Groupe Envergure, the budget division of France's Soci‚t‚ du Louvre, has opened its largest hotel in Paris. The group has opened a g50m (£33.5m) three-star hotel in the French capital's Montparnasse district. The Bleu Marine Paris Montparnasse hotel features 354 bedrooms, two restaurants with space for a total of 240 diners, 274sq m of meeting space and 10 separate meeting rooms.
North America
Wyndham sells four US-based hotel group Wyndham International has agreed to sell four hotels to the Highland Hospitality Corporation for $227m (£125m). The group is selling its 495-bedroom Crowne Plaza Ravinia hotel in Atlanta, Georgia, the 510-bedroom Hilton Parsippany hotel in New Jersey, the 360-bedroom Wyndham Wind Watch hotel in Hauppauge, New York, and the 322-bedroom Tremont Boston hotel in Massachusetts. Proceeds will be used to repay debt.

Fu Wah picks Carlson Carlson Hotels Asia Pacific has signed an agreement with property group Fu Wah International to manage two hotels in Beijing. Carlson will operate a 499-bedroom Regent hotel and 216-bedroom Park Plaza hotel in the Chinese capital. The hotels are scheduled to open in September 2006.
South America
Starwood selection Starwood Hotels & Resorts has been selected to operate a new 500-bedroom convention centre hotel in Puerto Rico. The Sheraton San Juan hotel will open in 2007 opposite the 580,000sq ft Puerto Rico Convention Centre, which is scheduled to open in 2005. The hotel will feature 63,000sq ft of meeting and banquet facilities, a 10,000sq ft spa, a selection of restaurants and several outdoor pools.
