Choice opens fourth Birmingham hotel under Clarion brand
Choice Hotels International, the group behind the Comfort, Quality and Clarion brands, has added a fourth hotel in Birmingham to its portfolio.
Located close to the city centre and Edgbaston Cricket Ground, the four-star Clarion Collection Birmingham will increase in size later this year from 60 to 73 with the opening of 13 suites.
The property has been newly refurbished and incorporates the Headingly restaurant and Edgbaston bar. Planning permission has been submitted to open a leisure centre at the hotel, which would include a swimming pool, gym, sauna, steam room and hot tub.
Yasin Hussain, general manager, Clarion Collection Birmingham, said: "We saw many benefits to working with Choice Hotels which provides such a strong global hotel franchise brand."
The other Choice hotels operating in Birmingham include the Quality hotel Birmingham Airport/NEC, Comfort hotel Birmingham and the Quality hotel Birmingham.
Choice Hotels International franchises more than 6,100 hotels, representing more than 490,000 rooms, worldwide.
