Barceló appoints new regional director of its 21 UK hotels
Peter Montague has been promoted to regional director for the UK for Barceló Hotels and Resorts.
He was previously joint regional director for 10 of the group's hotels, alongside Paul Harnedy, who is now leaving the company.
In his new role, Montague will be responsible for all 21 hotels in the UK, including the Barceló Lygon Arms in Broadway.
Barcelo's chief executive for Europe, the Middle East and Africa, Raúl González, said: "Peter knows the Barceló UK portfolio inside out and has a great deal of expertise and experience with the UK market. He has done a fantastic job looking after half of our UK hotels over the past few years and I am confident that he will extend his success to the rest of our properties in the UK."
