AccorHotels to open Ibis Styles in Kensington

AccorHotels has signed a management agreement with P I Hospitality Management Limited to run a 85-bedroom hotel in Kensington, London under its budget Ibis Styles brand.

The property, which previously operated under the Best Western brand, is undergoing a total refurbishment and will re-open in January 2018 as the Ibis Styles London Gloucester Road hotel.

Key features will include the Ibis guest welcome programme which eliminates the need for a check-in desk and enables all staff to run the hotel via an app on mobile devices.

The hotel will bring the number of Ibis branded hotels int he UK up to 10, with AccorHotels' total UK & Ireland portfolio reaching 235 properties.

Thomas Dubaere, chief operating officer of AccorHotels UK & Ireland said: "It's great to work with a new partner in UK, after working with us in the Asia-Pacific region, underlining our position as the biggest hotel management company in UK. The new bis Styles will complement our existing portfolio and strengthen our London offer."

Alongside Ibis, AccorHotels other brands include Sofitel, Fairmont, Novotel and Mercure.
