Hotel Week London to entice visitors back to the capital

A number of luxury hotels in London are offering discounted rates and value-added packages to entice visitors back through their doors this summer.

As part of the newly launched Hotel Week London, 35 hotels including Dukes London, the Corinthia (pictured) and the Standard will be offering exclusive rates between 28 May to 6 June, with some offers running until the end of the month. Special packages include room upgrades and money towards fine dining, as well as pizza-making classes and transfers by vintage car from London stations.

The initiative has been organised by marketing agency MMGY Global in a bid to support the reopening of London hotels and spread the message that the city will be ready to welcome back guests from the provisional date of 17 May in line with the government's Covid-19 reopening roadmap.

Jonathan Sloan, executive vice-president, Europe and Middle East strategy at MMGY Global, said: "There has never been a better time to come and explore London. As the hotel sector reopens there is a unique window for domestic travellers to experience the city without the normal influx of international visitors and offering the opportunity to support London hotels that have been particularly affected over the last 12 months.

"Hotel Week London gives us the opportunity to escape our homes while enjoying super deals from some of the capital's finest hotels."
