BaxterStorey's turnover rises 55% in Scotland‏

Foodservice operator BaxterStorey has revealed a turnover growth of 55% in Scotland during 2013.

The company has won seven new contracts in the country and employed 360 new members of staff throughout 2013.

New clients include Halliburton in Aberdeen, Vascutek near Glasgow and the Scottish Courts National Group.

BaxterStorey uses Scottish suppliers and food that has travelled as few food miles as possible for its Scottish contracts, including free range Scottish eggs from a Fife creamery, bacon from Perthshire farms, white fish from Peterhead market and salmon from Shetland breeders.

Jeremy Wood, regional managing director for BaxterStorey in the North and Scotland, said: "We're absolutely delighted with our success in Scotland; the company really is going from strength to strength.

"As an organisation we're committed to supplying our customers with the highest quality meals using the best in fresh ingredients sourced locally where possible. In Scotland this means working with great suppliers like George Campbell & Sons and Farmlay Farms."
