Enterprise Inns buys real-ale Somerset pub

Enterprise Inns is the new owner of award-winning real-ale pub the Star Inn, an 18th century freehouse in the North Somerset harbour town of Watchett on the edge of Exmoor.

Facilities include a 28-seat public bar, an eight-seat snug and a 28-seat restaurant. Wet sales account for 60% of trade.

There is also three-bedroom owners' accommodation on the first floor, a lawned beer garden with a raised patio area and benches to seat around 70 guests, and a front block patio with three eight-seater benches.

The Exeter office of Christie + Co sold the freehold off a guide price of £625,000 on behalf of Kim and Keith Fairbrother
