North-west based Oddfellows Hotels plans to expand its accommodation offer with the addition of two apartments.
The 18-bedroom Oddfellows hotel in Chester will open a fifth apartment with a courtyard setting, a short walk from the town house hotel, while the 22-bedroom Oddfellows on the Park in Cheadle, Greater Manchester, will convert its salon and treatment rooms into a two-bedroom apartment.
Oddfellows Hotels, which is privately owned by a trio of investors and managed by Bespoke Hotels, intends to create the new offer in response to demand for serviced-style apartments from corporate guests, families and groups of friends.
Paul Brown, regional director, Bespoke Hotels, said: “Apartments at Oddfellows have enjoyed a consistently high demand ever since the first apartment came on board in Chester almost five years ago. The apartments offer the best of both worlds for our guests.
“They can enjoy privacy, home comforts and an authentic sense of place – all of the factors that has stimulated the Airbnb effect over the last few years, with the added benefits of luxury and convenience with restaurants, bars and housekeeping on tap.”
