Sodexho wins £1.5m Thistle hotel contract

French-owned contract caterer Sodexho has won a contract to provide food and drink at Thistle's Manchester City hotel. The four-year contract will turn over about £1.5m a year and Touch of Rhodes - opening in mid-summer. The A Touch of Rhodes concept has been developed by Sodexho in conjunction with celebrity chef Gary Rhodes. Rhodes will train the chefs at the restaurant to prepare a number of his signature dishes, and the menu will include his logo. Stefan Breg, food and beverage director at Thistle, said: "This exciting development continues our strategy of introducing celebrity chefs, established franchisors and operators to maximise the potential of our excellent restaurant sites." by Nic Paton
