Landmark and Halkin win London tourism gongs
The five-star, 302-bedroom Landmark hotel has been named best large hotel in London in the London Tourism Awards. Claridge's, part of the Savoy Group, was highly commended. The four-star, 41-bedroom Halkin hotel won the small hotels category, with the 54-bedroom Milestone Hotel and Apartments in Kensington being highly commended. Aster House, a 12-bedroom property in South Kensington, won the award for best B&B, while One Aldwych received the sustainable tourism award in recognition of its waste reduction and energy efficiency programmes. The awards, run by the London Tourist Board, were announced this morning.
