Drake & Morgan to open third London bar in April
London-based bar group Drake & Morgan is to launch its third site in the capital next year, with plans for two more sites in the pipeline.
The privately-owned company, which currently operates the Refinery in Southwark and the recently launched Parlour in Canary Wharf, will open the Anthologist in the City in April.
Housed in the former City of London's Police Commissioner's office, the 450-seat venue will be spread over two floors and include a large bar, cocktail lounge, wine cellar, kitchen and dining area as well as a deli and a chef's table.
Designed by Fusion Design, it will be divided into various lounge areas which will be available for private hire.
The Anthologist, which will be managed by Taskin Muzaffer, will serve an all-day menu of modern British food, next to an extensive drinks list including wines and cocktails.
Jillian MacLean, managing director, Drake & Morgan, said: "Since the successful launch of the Refinery and the Parlour, we continually look for new and innovative ways to differentiate from the competition and offer our customers that little bit more.
"Having visited California for inspiration we aim to provide the City with a refreshingly independent bar that has a few welcome additions for our customers."
