BrewDog and Honest Burgers launch beer-heavy #BrewBurger
Craft brewer BrewDog and London burger chain Honest Burgers have collaborated to create a new burger containing three different beers.
Named the #BrewBurger, it features beer-candied bacon, beer-fried onions, and a beer-based BBQ sauce. There is also Comté cheese, along with the 150g beef patty and glazed bread bun normally found at Honest Burgers.
The candied bacon is made with 5am Saint, the beer-fried onions are with the brand's best-selling Punk IPA, while the BBQ reduction is made using the BrewDog Paradox beer. The combination makes the dish so beer-heavy that customers will reportedly have to show ID before being served.
The new choice is available with a beer pairing, a 5.8% barrel-aged baby scotch ale named Bourbon Baby.
BrewDog now has 14 bars, including in Aberdeen, Newcastle, Leeds, Edinburgh, Nottingham, Shoreditch, Bristol and even one in Sao Paulo.
Honest Burgers was launched on Portobello Road in 2011 by Philip Eeles and Tom Barton. It now runs to six sites across the capital.
