Uber has partnered with OpenTable to offer members of its subscription scheme exclusive access to bookings at top London restaurants at peak times.
Users of Uber’s One membership programme will be able to book tables as a range of sought-after London restaurants directly through the dine out feature in the Uber Eats app.
Uber said the initiative, which it is offering to members through a partnership with the restaurant reservation platform, will allows its loyalty members to “book prime time reservations at high demand OpenTable restaurants which are often fully booked weeks in advance”.
A number of Michelin-starred restaurants will be available to book through the new loyalty feature including The Clove Club, Trivet, Jamavar, Restaurant St. Barts, Pavyllon and Da Terra, whose chef and owner Rafael Cagali said Uber’s new feature was “an exciting new way to introduce our dining experience to a fresh wave of loyal diners”.
Buzzy local spots such as Bouchon Racine, Sune, Quality Chop House, Singburi, Brutto and Donia will also be included in the peak booking scheme.
Uber’s global head of membership Danielle Sheridan said: “From delivery to dining out, Uber is backing Britain’s hospitality industry. Uber One Exclusive Tables helps some of the capital’s top restaurants welcome more guests, while giving Uber One members even more ways to unlock value across the Uber platform.”
OpenTable’s UK and Ireland senior director Sasha Shaker added: “Uber One Exclusive Tables puts our restaurant partners in front of a highly engaged audience, helping them fill seats and reach new diners, all in line with our mission to serve restaurants.”
