The Champagne Agents Association’s tasting is designed for on-trade professionals, sommeliers, restaurateurs and wine buyers
The Champagne Agents Association’s the Definitive Champagne Tasting event is returning to London on Wednesday 22 April, following the success of 2025’s inaugural edition.
Recognised as one of the UK’s most comprehensive Champagne tastings for the trade, the event is taking place at the View, located on the top floor of the Grade II-listed historic Royal College of Surgeons in Holborn.
The tasting is designed specifically for on-trade professionals, sommeliers, restaurateurs and wine buyers seeking to deepen their knowledge and discover new wines for their lists.
This year’s event will bring together 50 brands and more than 200 Champagnes, representing a range of growers, cooperatives and Houses, offering an opportunity to taste a full spectrum of Champagne styles in one place.
For those responsible for shaping wine lists and buying decisions – buyers, sommeliers restaurateurs - the tasting provides a chance to explore new producers, compare cuvées side-by-side, and engage directly with agents and Maisons behind the region’s wines.
The Champagne Agents Association established the Definitive Champagne Tasting in 2025, following the absence of a dedicated UK event since 2018.
In 2016, Comité Champagne disbanded the Annual Champagne Tasting after two decades, deciding to pursue other avenues. This included the Official Champagne Experience Day in London’s Kings Cross in 2017, which then joined up with the London Wine Show at Olympia in 2018 before disappearing altogether.
