He was most recently director of food and sustainability for Sodexo UK & Ireland

David Mulcahy has joined new independent catering company Fuelling Minds as consultant ESG partnership director after 20 years at Sodexo.
The former director of food and sustainability for Sodexo UK & Ireland will support Fuelling Minds’ sustainability and social impact initiatives, as well as leading on projects to train future chefs and limit food waste.
Mulcahy is also vice president of the Craft Guild of Chefs and national chairman of Springboard’s FutureChef competition.
He received the Outstanding Achievement Award at the first Foodservice Cateys in 2013 and has been honoured with an Order of Merit from the Craft Guild of Chefs.
Christine Bailey has also joined the Fuelling Minds as nutrition and wellbeing consultant. The Healthy Eating Champion at the 2024 Foodservice Cateys was most recently group director of nutrition and wellbeing at Thomas Franks and is also the author of over a dozen nutrition and recipe books.
Bailey will hold webinars and wellness talks and devise specialist menus for schools and the workplace based on her clinical expertise.
David Anderson, founder and managing director of Fuelling Minds, said: “Fuelling Minds launched with a strong sense of purpose and a desire to provide more than just great food. We are fast becoming the sector’s most well-resourced start up, working with some amazingly talented people who share our vision and values.
“We feel very honoured and fortunate to strengthen our team with David and Christine’s passion, creativity and industry experience, benefitting our clients and the wider industry. David is a passionate advocate for encouraging future talent into our industry – a challenge that we all know too well. Christine, likewise, through her brilliant work with schools, is a natural ambassador and expert. It’s an exciting time for Fuelling Minds and we are delighted to share this good news.”
Fuelling Minds Catering Management was founded earlier this year by Anderson, former managing director (south) for Wilson Vale.
The new B&I and independent schools caterer is targeting sites in Cambridge and its surrounding areas, as well as Essex, Norfolk, Suffolk, London, the Midlands, Bedford and Milton Keynes.
