Japanese Canteen to open two new sites

Japanese-influenced casual dining group the Japanese Canteen is set to open two more restaurants in London, taking its total estate to 12 sites.

The company, founded and owned by Andrew Burleigh, will open the first of the pair of new sites at Arch 255, Paradise Row, in London's E2 near Bethnal Green tube station in June.

The restaurant will sit in a row of newly renovated railway arches and will offer Japanese and Korean dishes, including Korean bibimbaps, fresh ramen noodles and Korean fried chicken. It will open for lunch at 11.30am and stay open until 10.30pm.

It will be followed by a second new site in Dalston Square in London's E8, which will have capacity for 150 covers and will open for lunch and dinner daily, offering a speedier takeaway-style operation along the lines of the company's Middlesex Street branch near Liverpool Street. It is also set to open from 11.30am until 10.30pm.
