The three-day course will be delivered by experienced housekeeper Liz Lycette at the Grand York in March 2026
The UK Housekeepers Association (UKHA) has launched a Housekeeping Scholarship programme in partnership with Lycette Associates.
The free scholarship is open to housekeeping professionals looking to advance their management skills and knowledge of the industry.
Fourteen housekeepers will then be selected by an industry panel during the first week of January 2026 to attend a free, three-day residential workshop on the Leadership for Housekeeping Managers course, taking place at the Grand York between 2-4 March next year.
The course will be delivered by Liz Lycette, founder of Lycette Associates, who started her career in the industry in 1981.
She was named executive housekeeper for the opening of Mandarin Oriental in Macau aged just 23 and has subsequently held senior positions across the Conrad Hong Kong, Mandarin Oriental Jakarta, Le Meridien hotel, London, and the Regent hotel, Sydney.
Applicants must complete this application form by Friday 2 January 2026. Successful housekeepers will be informed of their place on Friday 16 January.
