The hospitality professional joins the 20,000 acre estate from her previous role as director of F&B at the Grand, York
Ramune Aleks has been appointed general manager of the Swinton Estate.
Aleks joins the 42-bedroom North Yorkshire hotel with almost two decades’ worth of experience in the hospitality industry.
She arrives from her previous role as director of F&B at the Grand, York. Prior to that, she held general manager positions at Cedar Court Hotels in Yorkshire and at Woodlands hotel Leeds. She has also held restaurant and operational manager positions.
Speaking of her appointment to The Caterer, Aleks said: “I am excited to be joining the Swinton Estate as general manager. It is a privilege to be part of an estate with so much history and heritage and with such a diverse offering for our guests.”
She said that having worked across hospitality venues in the north of England, “it feels especially rewarding to lead an estate so rooted in Yorkshire”.
Aleks added: “This is a particularly exciting time to be joining the Swinton Estate team. This is a milestone year as we celebrate 25 years since Swinton Park hotel welcomed its very first guests.”
The 20,000-acre Swinton Estate includes an 18th-century castle, which houses the hotel, spa facilities, a glamping site, a cookery school and a range of dining experiences.
The hotel will host the winners’ weekend of The Caterer’s Acorn Awards, on 7-8 June. The awards, organised by The Caterer, and in partnership with CH&Co, are now in their 40th year, making 2026 an extra-special milestone celebrating the brightest young talent shaping hospitality at an early stage in their careers.
