Golding Group bought the 30-key site after it was put up for sale at a guide price of £2.25m
Duke Street Boutique hotel is back open and in business, just over a month after being bought by new owner Golding Group.
The purpose-built hotel in the centre of Liverpool had been on the market for nine months after going up for sale at a guide price of £2.25m in January.
The 30-bedroom hotel is the latest addition to the portfolio of hotels and serviced accommodation offered by the Golding Group, which began as an estate agent in the Liverpool region.
Golding Group moved into hotels and serviced accommodation around seven years ago, and now owns venues including 62 Castle Street hotel, with its hidden Lounge @ 62 cocktail bar.
The Duke Street Boutique hotel launched in 2021 before going into administration at the beginning of 2025. Golding Group has refreshed the hotel, which it says was already finished to a premium standard, including a redesigned reception and resident’s bar.
Unlike the previous hotel, which was self-service check-in, it will be fully staffed, giving a round-the-clock service and offering breakfast-to-go with croissants, juice and tea or coffee. Rooms will start at £50-£60 during the week.
Group general manager for Golding Group Kerry Audley said: “We are delighted that we have been able to get the Duke Street Boutique hotel reopened and running again so soon after its purchase, and extremely excited by what we have to offer.
“We are really looking forward to welcoming visitors to a high-end, quality boutique hotel experience, with superb support and service at budget hotel prices.”
