Rike Erdbrink has been named general manager at the five-AA-star Scottish hotel
Rike Erdbrink has been appointed general manager at Gleneagles in Auchterarder after 25 years with Hyatt.
She replaces Daniel Baernreuther, who left the resort last summer after seven years to join Estelle Manor in Oxfordshire.
She was most recently general manager of Park Hyatt London River Thames, having joined the luxury 203-bedroom property in October 2023 to oversee its opening in late 2024.
Speaking to The Caterer at the time, the hotelier described herself as a “Hyatt baby”, having served the American multinational hospitality company ever since she started as a trainee at the Park Hyatt Hamburg in 2001.
In a post announcing her new role at the Scottish hotel on LinkedIn, Erdbrink said: “I’m excited to embark on this new chapter and deeply grateful for the opportunity to steward such a remarkable place.

Gleneagles managing director Conor O’Leary was named Hotelier of the Year 2023.
The five-AA-star hotel is set with in 850 acres and offers 233 bedrooms, several golf courses, a spa and several F&B outlets.
