It comes soon after the former Acorn Award winner announced her departure from the Zetter
The Mandrake in London’s Fitzrovia has appointed its first female general manager, Eljesa Saciri.
Saciri, a former Acorn Award winner, joins the luxury property from the Zetter hotels, where she was based for the past four years. Prior to that, she was working at the Doyle Collection.
At the Mandrake, she will collaborate closely with founder and owner Rami Fustok, who was recently involved in launching wellness sanctuary Damu and private members’ club CoOc.
Saciri said: “It is a true honour to join a brand that has inspired me since its inception. The Mandrake has always stood out to me for its daring vision and distinctive energy. I’m thrilled that Rami and the team have placed the trust in me to elevate this extraordinary property to even greater heights. This next chapter will be both invigorating and transformative for the brand and for myself.”
Fustok added: “Eljesa’s passion, keen instincts, and unwavering determination make her a powerful addition to lead our team. I have every confidence that she will not only embody our core values and spirit but also elevate the guest experience and operational excellence to unprecedented levels. Her appointment marks an exciting new chapter in the Mandrake’s ongoing evolution.”
The Mandrake was launched in 2017 by the Beirut-born entrepreneur as his first hotel venture.
Taking its name from the Mandrake plant, the 34-bedroom hotel showcases artwork from Francesco Clemente, Jonas Burgert and Peter-John de Villiers, soundscapes from French sound engineer Pierre-Arnaud Alunni, as well as bespoke scents from Azzi Glasser and a 30-candle chandelier by Lara Bohinc.
