The hit television show-inspired restaurant is expected to open next spring at the Cumberland hotel in London
The UK’s first Hell’s Kitchen restaurant is set to open at the Cumberland hotel in London’s Marble Arch in spring 2026.
It comes after Gordon Ramsay Restaurants Global and the Clermont Hotel Group entered a strategic partnership to create immersive dining experiences within London hotels.
The upcoming launch of the hit television series-inspired restaurant at the 900-bedroom hotel is said to “mark the beginning of a multi-site partnership”.
Ramsay only hosted one series of the original UK Hell’s Kitchen in 2004, which was based around him teaching ten celebrities how to cook in a London restaurant.
A US version launched in 2005 which has run for 24 seasons and spawned a chain of seven restaurants across different states. Several locations offer an Idiot Sandwich, based on the meme made famous by Ramsay insulting a contestant during an episode.
The flagship Hell’s Kitchen opened in Las Vegas in 2018 and the restaurant brand made its European debut this June at the Unexpected Ibiza hotel in Spain.
The restaurants are known for bringing the drama and intensity of the show directly to diners.
The London outpost will serve a mix of signature and new dishes, ranging from Beef Wellington and lobster risotto to sticky toffee pudding and apple butterscotch cheesecake.
These can be paired to cocktails such as Notes from Gordon, which includes a personal message from the chef, as well as wines from across the world.
Ramsay said: “Bringing Hell’s Kitchen to the UK for the first time is an incredible full circle moment. London is where it all began in 1998, so this feels like a real homecoming. Hell’s Kitchen is about fire, theatre and bold flavours, and I can’t wait to share the signature dishes guests love alongside new creations, developed especially for London’s diners.”
Pedro da Silva, general manager at the Cumberland hotel, added: “We are very proud to be the first venue to welcome Hell’s Kitchen to the UK. We look forward to offering hotel guests and visitors alike a taste of Gordon Ramsay’s iconic dishes, all within our hotel.”
Earlier this month, Ramsay teamed up with Burger King to launch an £11 wagyu beef burger across its UK restaurants.
Gordon Ramsay Restaurants Global was founded in 1998 and has since become one of the largest privately-owned restaurant groups in the UK, with 34 restaurants.
It also operates a further 62 restaurants across the US, South Korea, France, Singapore and numerous other international destinations. To date, the restaurant group holds eight Michelin stars.
Clermont Hotel Group has a portfolio of 14 hotels across London, including the Cumberland and Royal Horseguards hotel, as well as the Clermont and Thistle brands.
Over the years, the Cumberland has welcomed the likes of Bob Dylan, Diana Ross, Jimi Hendrix and Buddy Holly, and more recently Sister Sledge, Madonna, Lady Gaga and Justin Bieber.
