The five-year partnership will enable Clink graduates to join Benugo’s internal learning and development mentorship scheme
Benugo has entered a five-year partnership with the Clink Charity to create hospitality employment pathways for prison leavers.
Starting in September, the exclusive partnership will allow graduates of the Clink’s training programme at HMP Brixton to join Benugo’s internal learning and development mentorship scheme.
While Benugo will provide training opportunities for Clink graduates, the Clink Bakery at HMP Brixton and its community-based production kitchen in London’s Herne Hill will sell produce across chosen Benugo locations in 2027 to further support the charity.
In 2025, the Clink trained roughly 400 students across the UK, delivered nearly 420 City & Guilds NVQ qualifications and provided structured post-release support to around 120 individuals.
Nearly 70% of students from its restaurant at HMP Brixton have moved into further education or employment.
Ben Warner, founder of Benugo, said: “Hospitality has the power to change lives. By partnering with the Clink, we’re opening doors for people who want to rebuild their futures, providing real careers, skills and confidence. A core part of our ethos is developing talent from within and ensuring people have clear pathways to grow and progress.”
Donna Edmonds, chief executive of the Clink Charity, added: “Employment is one of the most significant factors in reducing reoffending. A long-term commitment from a respected operator like Benugo provides stability, progression and real opportunity for our graduates - helping turn training into sustainable careers.”
Founded in 1998, WSH-owned Benugo operates cafés and hospitality spaces across high streets and major cultural sites including Edinburgh Castle, the Ashmolean Museum in Oxford, and the Natural History Museum and British Museum in London.
The Clink Charity was founded in 2009 with a mission to reduce reoffending.
