Novus Leisure, the restaurant and late-night venue company, is to return two sites - in Croydon and Glasgow - to their landlords this week.
Tiger Tiger in Croydon and Mansion House in Glasgow, which sits in Novus's Landmark portfolio, will both shut their doors at the end of this week, in what the company said were "isolated" closures.
The closure of Tiger Tiger takes the number of sites operating under that brand down to six.
Novus, which also runs Balls Brothers of London and Premium Bar & Kitchen, will operate a total of 44 sites after the move.
In a statement, the company said: "Novus Leisure will cease trading in Tiger Tiger in Croydon and Mansion House in Glasgow at the end of this week and that both sites are being returned to the landlords.
"Discussions are underway to offer employees the opportunity to relocate to alternative Novus venues, where possible. These two site closures are isolated cases and otherwise, Novus remains in great health across its premium bar and restaurant portfolio. Following strong trading over the Christmas period the Group has begun its 2016 capital investment programme with a £900,000 investment at Sway in Great Queen Street in London's Covent Garden which is due to re-open at the end of January."
In July last year, the company announced a plans to relaunch two venues in London - Fifty9 in Berkeley Square, Mayfair, and PI Bar near Piccadilly Circus - as part of a £3-£4m investment programme.
Late night venues and nightclubs have suffered during the last 10 years as revellers have changed their late night habits.
Recent figures from the Association of Licensed Multiple Retailers (ALMR) released in August 2015 showed that nightclub numbers had halved since 2005. At the time the figures were released, there were 1,733 nightclubs in the UK, down from 3,144 in 2005.
