MasterChef's 2018 champion, Kenny Tutt, has announced plans to open his debut restaurant, Pitch, in Worthing in Sussex, in May.
Pitch will celebrate the heritage of Tutt's home town as well as homegrown and locally sourced produce.
Tutt said: "My favourite thing about food and cooking is the way that it brings people together, so opening up my own restaurant is a dream come true. The fact that I am doing so in my home town of Worthing is the cherry on the top.
Dishes will include a starter of doughnuts with whipped goats' cheese, toasted hazelnut and thyme jam; a main course of Sussex ham hock with shirred eggs, chips and gooseberry chutney, as well as a dessert of cereal panna cotta with peanut butter and chocolate pretzel crackle.
The two-storey restaurant will include a private dining room with plans for a top-floor cookery school to open later in the year.
Prior to winning MasterChef Tutt had worked as a bank manager.
