Sacred Whisky was created by Parag Rane, mixologist at the Holy Brew speakeasy in Wimbledon, London.

Crafted with Indian spices, this drink celebrates the rich tapestry of Indian mythology and ancient Indic drinking culture.

The sour yet warming cocktail suits a pairing with any pan-Asian cuisine.

Ingredients

  • 40ml Aberfeldy 12 years single malt whisky
  • 10ml lime juice
  • 10ml cinnamon syrup
  • Pinch of white sesame seeds
  • 1 egg white
  • Cinnamon stick for garnish

Method

Muddle sesame seeds in a Boston shaker and add the rest of ingredients in the shaker without the egg white.

Add ice, shake, then double strain back into the shaker glass.

Discard the ice.

Add the egg white to the shaker along with a spring, shake the cocktail and egg white together vigorously for 20 seconds.

Strain the cocktail into a chilled old fashion glass. Add the cinnamon stick for garnish.
