Xavier Rousset and Gearoid Devaney are to open a private members' club for employees in the hospitality industry.
Trade on Frith Street in Soho will open in December and accept membership applications from all those employed in hospitality, including suppliers and public relations professionals.
The venue will be priced as keenly as possible, in order to be accessible to all those working in the industry.
Through their strong links in the wine industry, it is expected that Rousset and Devaney will be able to showcase a wide range of drinks to members at affordable prices.
The pair, who already partner on London restaurants Cabotte and Greenwich Kitchen, will be taking on the basement site formerly occupied by bar and nightclub Muse. They are working with Rosendale Design - who also designed Cabotte - to reimagine the space as a members club with private rooms.
Rousset told The Caterer: "Gearoid and I had the idea about three years ago to have a members club for the hospitality industry, and now we've made it happen.
"Membership will be reasonably priced and there will be a relaxed feel. It's a place for the industry to socialise, and with a late licence we think it will be the perfect place for hospitality employees to meet after work."
Food will be served all day and, in keeping with the venue, it's likely to be a casual approach, although the menus are still under development.
Rousset added: "The whole idea is for it to be accessible. We want anyone in the trade to be able to join.
