The Tommy Banks Group has revealed plans to open a pub with rooms, close to its Michelin-starred restaurant the Black Swan in north Yorkshire.
The food-led pub will serve produce from the Banks’ family farm in Oldstead as well as Banks Brothers canned wine and showcase the group’s hyper-local credentials and sustainable ethos.
The team is currently refurbishing the historic venue to add a new kitchen, dining room and bar area with the opening date slated for late spring.
Once opened the group will offer a two-night package with the opportunity to dine at both the Black Swan and the new venue.
The Tommy Banks Group comprises Michelin-starred restaurants The Black Swan in Oldstead and Roots in York, nationwide food delivery box and events service Made in Oldstead and canned wine venture Banks Brothers.
Chef Tommy Banks became the youngest Michelin-starred chef in Britain when the Black Swan retained the accolade in 2013.
