Fifteen new restaurants including 1215 in Egham and Story Cellar in London have been added to the Michelin Guide Great Britain and Ireland's selection this month.
The red book’s inspectors are on the road year-round and update its listings monthly with additions highlighted by a ‘New’ symbol on the Michelin app and website.
It will not be confirmed if they will receive a Michelin star, Bib Gourmand, Michelin Plate, or other award until the next formal Michelin Guide ceremony.
The Kirkstyle Inn in Brampton, a rustic country pub serving British contemporary food, was praised for its warmth and “flavoursome dishes that rely on a range of local ingredients”, while neighbourhood restaurant Orrin in Elgin was recognised for its “familiarity and charm alongside quality cooking”.
Meanwhile Pêtchi in St Helier was described as an innovative addition to the Jersey dining scene with its Baque-inspired dishes cooked over fire.
Restaurant 1215 in Fairmont Windsor Park, Egham, was also added to the list following the appointment of Tim Sheed as head chef in November 2022.
In London, Michelin praised Tom Sellers’ rotisserie chicken restaurant Story Cellar, which opened this spring with Stephen Naylor as head chef.
