Sodexo UK & Ireland has extended six government and police services contracts with a combined value of £34m.
The caterer will continue its long-standing partnership with Transport for London, which will see Sodexo’s 100-strong team providing for employees of the London Underground, the British Transport Police, the Metropolitan Police and London’s bus drivers for an additional two years.
Meanwhile, over 550 Sodexo employees will continue to provide services for His Majesty’s Revenue & Customs (HMRC) following a one-year extension to Sodexo’s FM services contract for 48 sites. This includes ten of HMRC’s 14 regional centres.
Sodexo will also be catering for Avon & Somerset Police, which it has partnered with since 2012, for a further two years. Over 3,000 police officers and personnel are spread across 64 police stations within South Gloucestershire, Bath, Somerset and Bristol.
The catering giant has also secured contract extensions in Northern Ireland and Scotland.
Paul Anstey, chief executive of government, Sodexo UK & Ireland, said: “As a trusted partner to government we look forward to continuing to provide services that support delivery of public services and government priorities.”
It comes after Sodexo's government division received the Extra Mile Award at the 2023 Foodservice Cateys.
