Smoke & Salt has announced its last service at Pop Brixton will be on Saturday 29 February, ahead of a bricks-and-mortar opening in Tooting later this year.
The "modern dining/ancient techniques" small plates concept from Remi Williams and Aaron Webster opened in June 2017 and won the Newcomer Award at the Cateys in 2018.
The founders said: "We're feeling a mixture of sadness and elation to announce that Saturday 29th February will be our last service in our beloved shipping container in Pop Brixton.
"We've seen so many regular faces this side of the New Year and we want to welcome customers old and new in before we move.
"Everyone is asking when we'll be opening our Tooting Site. Remi and myself are tentatively hoping to have the doors open by the end of March but we'll keep you all updated, promise."
Smoke & Salt has received rave reviews. In her first column for The Sunday Times, Marina O'Loughlin praised its "properly exciting" cooking and "nu-British" blend of local ingredients with world flavours and modern techniques, from smoking and salting to pickling, fermenting and brining.
The Caterer published a Menuwatch for the restaurant in 2018.
