Simone Arcucci promoted to hotel manager of Stapleford Park

Simone Arcucci has been promoted from operations manager to hotel manager at luxury country house hotel Stapleford Park, near Melton Mowbray, Leicestershire.

He has replaced Angelina Chua who has been appointed general manager at Sopwell House hotel and spa in St Albans, Hertfordshire.

Originally from Capri, Arcucci has been at the four-red-AA-star, 55-bedroom hotel for three years, having spent the earlier part of his 20-year career at QHotels, Rocco Forte Hotels, and Sun Resorts Hotels in the UK, Belgium, Italy and the Maldives.

Arcucci said: "Stapleford Park enjoys a reputation of one of the of England's finest stately homes and that's through the sheer hard work of our committed team. We're constantly evolving to deliver a better experience for all our guests and I look forward to leading the team to even more success."

Surround by 500 acres of ground landscaped by Capability Brown, the Grade-I-listed, 17th-century Stapleford Park was transformed into a hotel by the late American fast-food restaurateur Bob Payton in 1988. The hotel is a member of the Small Luxury Hotels of the World consortium.

Today the directors of the hotel are Renold Tang and Sofia Ja'afar.
