Shaftesbury's Blue Turtle scheme to encourage operators to protect ocean

Leon and the Ugly Dumpling are among the first Carnaby restaurants to pledge to act to protect the ocean by signing up to land-owner Shaftesbury's Blue Turtle scheme.

The scheme has been established in collaboration with ocean conservation organisation Project 0 and will be awarded to restaurants, bars and cafés in London's Carnaby that show their commitment to protecting the oceans by adopting more sustainable practices.

To help its tenants, Shaftesbury has created a toolkit with information on sourcing sustainable products, services and suppliers.

Those to have joined the scheme include the Good Egg, Whyte & Brown, Ugly Dumpling, Leon and the Rum Kitchen.
