Yorkshire-based restaurant and bar operator Arc Inspirations has acquired a site for a second Manchester Banyan Bar & Kitchen.
Following a £1.6m investment, the new venue is set to open in summer 2018 in the city's Spinningfields district.
The new bar extends more than 7,000 sq ft and will accommodate 230 covers, creating 50 full and part-time jobs. The acquisition will take the number of Banyan Bar & Kitchen sites to a total of eight throughout the north of England, including sites in York, Leeds and Ikley (pictured), which opened last year.
The venue will feature a new look courtesy of architect firm KPP in collaboration with local designer No Chintz.
The company will also be opening its first Manahatta site in Manchester's Deansgate this summer.
Martin Wolstencroft, chief executive of Arc Inspirations, said the decision followed the success of the brand's Corn Exchange venue and "increased demand".
He added: "We've worked with contemporary designers No Chintz who are elevating and reforming the Banyan brand to take it to the next level. Guests will see a real difference compared with Corn Exchange."
