Rupert Rowley has announced his departure from Fischer's Baslow Hall in Derbyshire after almost 17 years behind the stove.
The head chef took to social media to announce it was time for a "new challange".
The ex co-owner of Rowley's Restaurant and Bar in Baslow, Derbyshire, said: "After nearly 17 years behind the stoves at Fischer's, I have cooked my last meal. I would like to thank all the fantastic people I have worked with over the years, far too many to mention. It really has been a blast. Time for a change and a new challenge."
Fischer's has held a Michelin star for 22 years.
Rowley had previously worked at Raymond Blanc's Manoir au Quat' Saison in Oxford, John Burton Race's L'Ortolan, in Berkshire and Restaurant Gordon Ramsay in London.
